BACKGROUND

Owen Mumford are an own-brand medical device manufacturer and partner to some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies. As part of their expansion plans within the UK, a new purpose-built 50,000 sq. ft. pharmaceutical production facility was commissioned in Whitney.  The new facility would house a series of cleanroom and non-cleanroom areas including hubs for manufacturing and assembly, warehousing and QA auditing.

BRIEF

The interior of the new production area was to be lined and climate-controlled, ready to incorporate a large, full-height cleanroom facility. Working closely with main contractor Barnwood and Ridge architects, MIDDAS designed the entire supporting structure for the wall linings, including all necessary structural openings for doors and windows, which would be finished with single-sided wall panels.

SOLUTION

MIDDAS supplied M100 wall linings and M200 wall partitions in various heights ranging from 6m up to 8m. The M200 system was used due to the height requirement of the dividing partition between the warehouse and assembly hall.
