BACKGROUND
The client wanted a training and viewing room for the assembly of engines, to use for internal and distributor training. The new training and viewing area would be linked to the existing two storey amenity and training block.
BRIEF
The training room required full glazing, with provision of clear internal height to allow for the integration of high level crane and rails. To create the viewing area, the adjacent second floor training room also required vision panels.
SOLUTION
MIDDAS extended the existing training and amenity facility using a freestanding solution, creating a clear internal height of 6 metres, with structural framework above to support the ceiling and distributed services. Additional vision panels were added to the second floor training room to provide a clear view of the gauge lab below. The lab also benefited from flush 2 metre high glazing at low level.
