MIDDAS ACHIEVES 60/60 FIRE RATING ON VISION PANELS FOR THIRD PARTY WALLS
Earlier this month, we successfully fire tested our large format vision panels with a wraparound frame to achieve a 60/60 rating for integrity and insulation. The fire test certificate is now available in our Knowledge Hub.
The 1200mm x 2100mm triple glazed test specimen was designed for integration into a 100mm deep third-party plasterboard stud wall. The vision panel was installed into a 3000mm x 3000mm test rig by our technical team. The fire resistance test was conducted in accordance with BS 476: Part 22: 1987: Clause 10 with our test partner The Building Test Centre.
You can view and download all our test certificates in our Resources & Downloads.
Commitment to Product Development
The MIDDAS technical team have been heavily invested in research and product development since the company’s inception. As a business, we strive to ensure our products continue to meet the high safety standards expected of commercial partitions and the wider construction industry. We do this by continually developing our products to improve acoustic and structural performance, and most importantly, by testing them for fire resistance.
MIDDAS are committed to continuing its investment in fire resistance testing on all our products to ensure we offer robust performance specifications for your projects. “This test is indicative of our team’s effort to constantly push the boundaries of industry expectations and test the limitations of our products. I’m immensely proud of all their efforts,” comments Steve Jesse, Managing Director. The next natural step for fire testing on our vision panels is to test them within other types of third-party walls, including composite panels.
